A potter by trade, Stephen Farnan is best known for his delicate pencil drawings captured on
hand-rolled porcelain. Trained at London's Royal College of Art and the Belfast School of Art, he spent several years developing
his work in Benburb and teaching ceramics, before establishing his studio in Belfast.
As a maker and artist it's Stephen's philosophy that each piece should be unique and hold their own character and voice. Importantly, in the ceramic tradition, every piece is characterised by a makers mark, which recognises the contribution of each member of the studio team involved in its creation.
