Job Profile: PHP Web Developer
Location: Cork City

The Kilkenny Group currently have a requirement for a PHP Web Developer to join our Technology Team. Working closely with the IT Manager, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise for the implementation of web solutions in support of the company’s digital strategy. You will build, transform and strengthen systems that coincide with enterprise standards, this includes being responsible for managing  and developing back end services, server side logic, database management, ensuring high performance and integration of front-end elements.  In addition, your opinion will be highly sought in order to recommend technical improvements that will continue to maintain our strong brand. 

Technical skills required:

  • Experience with PHP frameworks (Magento platform)
  • Experience working with integrations; REST API’s, including authentication
  • Experience with Web servers and services (AWS, Azure)
  • Experience with front-end technologies and styling such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SASS, LESS
  • Experience with DevOps, LAMP
  • Experience in UI development (Mobile Preferable)
  • Experience implementing and developing plugins for CMS solutions
    • Magento, Opencart & WordPress platforms - nice to have
    • Experience creating and implementing technical specifications
    • Proficient in DOM manipulation
    • Proficient in optimizing web performance
    • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
    • Knowledge of best practises
    • Knowledge of object oriented PHP programming
    • Knowledge of frontend security, including XSS vulnerabilities, CSRF, CORS and token security (storage and transfer)
    • Knowledge of Node, NPM and webpack - an advantage

Responsibilities

  • We are looking for a barista/catering assistant who has a keen interested in the science and art of making a range of coffees, have a passion for customer service and working in a busy environment.
  • To be comfortable weighing your doses and yields under pressure and willing to learn good free-pour latte art.
  • To offer our customers the highest levels of service, ensuring that their needs are met through asking questions and listening.
  • Take orders and assist customers with any questions or recommendations regarding menus or beverage
